The cowboy lay sprawled across three entire seats in the posh Amarillo theater. When the usher came by and noticed this he whispered to the cowboy, "Sorry, sir, but you're only allowed one seat." The cowboy groaned but didn't budge. The usher became more impatient. "Sir, if you don't get up from there, I'm going to have to call the manager. The cowboy just groaned.
The usher marched briskly back up the aisle. In a moment he returned with the manager. Together the two of them tried repeatedly to move the cowboy, but with no success.
Finally, they summoned the police. The cop surveyed the situation briefly then asked, "All right buddy, what's your name?"
          "Sam," the cowboy moaned.
          "Where ya from, Sam?"
With pain in his voice, Sam replied.... "The balcony."

Did you know the world's largest fish is the whale shark? The whale shark comes in at 20 tons. That's about the size of a school bus.

These wonderful creatures swim slowly close to the surface of the water scooping up plankton in their gigantic mouths. This makes the whale shark a filter feeder.

Whale sharks are very docile fish and often let divers swim alongside or even hitch a ride.

Value of Children / Teen Books

Did you know children’s books play a vital role in the life of a child? Of course, you did! Parents have been told for years there is a definite relationship between the ability of their child to read and to succeed in the future, which has resulted in kids learning to read at the earliest ages possible. As a parent, you probably understand that this makes sense, even though you may not know specifically why this is so. Here are a just couple of thoughts for you to consider:
1    Beginning at birth and extending the first couple of years in a child’s life, most children see their world as only including their parents, family, and immediate home or neighborhood. When a parent begins reading to their child, they are essentially exposing them to the wonders and enormity of what lies beyond their front door. The great part is that we as parents get to travel down this path of learning with our children for many years to come, as they begin to understand our culture more deeply and the other cultures surrounding us. In time, this will promote the development of their personalities, values, and beliefs.
2    Understand that great children’s stories further the ability of the child to think analytically and to come up with their own answers and creative solutions - the very skills necessary to succeed in the 21st century.
3    In a world of ‘hurry here’ and ‘hurry there’ - children’s books give us that one place where we separate from everything around us and just get lost in our IMAGINATION.

Where are the positive aspects of life? I'll tell you where they are at! They are all around you. Just open your eyes and unplug your ears. Filter out the pessimistic 'doom and gloom' that surrounds us each day. Enjoy the love and positive wonders that we so often overlook each day.
What am I doing at this very moment? I am sitting by my window looking at the evening sky on a light blue background interspersed with dark purple clouds highlighted by the rays of the sun. I look forward to tomorrow to the wonders that will unfold for me.
Will there be a pessimistic naysayer that tries to put my thoughts down... of course, but it won't matter. I am strong in my beliefs and know that my optimism is what leads to good and wonderful things... life is a choice! I just chose to see it through my lens.
